Austin lattice uses white cedar that is cut and fastened together at our shop. It allows for several sizes of lattice openings to create differing degrees of visibility and varied aesthetics.
Boston Fence & Vinyl’s Austin Lattice is fabricated entirely in our wood workshop from premium #1 grade white cedar. The white cedar is cut to size and fastened together inside a solid wood frame creating a gorgeous fully framed in section.
Austin Lattice can be built to any height or width; many people use them to allow climbing plants to envelope the fence into their garden or yard. The name Austin lattice comes from one of our first customers nearly 30 years ago. The same fence remains standing on the North Shore today.
Austin Toppers offer a charming upgrade to the standard privacy fence. This type of fence topper consists of a square lattice that gives a partial view, some airflow, and a sense of openness. This widely spaced lattice accent satisfies both the modern and classic aesthetic, and offers a wide range of possibilities.
Austin toppers can be added along the top of almost any of our wood fences, turning any fence into a more welcoming semi-private one. An austin topper can make up the majority or a specific portion of the fence, such as a side wall or gate. We custom make our toppers, which means you can decide the height, lattice width and spacing, color, and more. The possibilities are endless. All topper sections will be symmetrical, and built in grade one materials to the customer’s specifications.

Duxbury Lattice sections use prefabricated overlapping western red cedar lattice built inside a solid framework. Duxbury topper sections have shorter lattice sections built on top of a solid tongue and groove board panel.

The Newport fence has been one of our most popular styles over the last 35 years. The construction employs novel techniques and is extremely strong as a result. The balusters are clear western red cedar and the rails are attached to the posts with hidden stainless steel brackets

Post & Rail
Post and Rail is great for the front yard providing a simple border or soft barrier from the street. Locust or Split Rail is a rustic product made from the hardy black locust tree. We can also attach wire to any Post and Rail fence to enclose dogs or keep young children from climbing through the rails.
